Okay, okay, I am still not ready to say anything more about creative genius or where it comes from. Not only was I having a hard time finding the William Stafford quotes I was looking for, but I’ve been working a long weekend, with weird swingy shifts that make me want to pull my hair out, and beg and cry for coffee. I kind of did that this morning when I broke my new phone too.
So with one more distraction and slight of hand, hopefully keeping you entertained. I know, I know, my William Stafford fans are sitting on the edge of their seats, ready to riot. But please, have patience. He was a very wise man, and really I only have a few brief words from him anyway.
This video was just one of the occasionally random productions we do out in public. It keeps the locals away, and leaves us entire aisles to shop alone in the grocery store.
If you have ever had any doubt about this age of consumerism, in which the guys from the show Mad Men (an amazing show Brian and I have been watching lately) have contrived to raise us from little up believing that we need whatever they are selling, just check out Stretchy Turtle and RAMPAGE, the Thumb Wrestling Ring.
You can see Brian in the background comparing prices of things that will actually go into our cupboards to feed us, whilst the rest of us have fun. Favorite quote. From Jon: “I don’t know why this needed to exist.”
